after the ice storm

When I first moved back to Oklahoma, all the trees looked like busted umbrellas. Huge sections of limbs hanging off, or trees split in half vertically. The ice storm from the previous December did most of it, and not many people had finished taking care of it all. I helped my parents with theirs. Sure got out a lot of pent up restless energy.

This is just part of it. It’s been more than a year and there’s still a pile of some of the bigger limbs that take a chainsaw. But…that’s probably due to my Dad not wanting to deal with it anymore. Or maybe he’s saving it to build a fort instead of firewood.
